PENGARUH KEEFEKTIFAN VISI PERUSAHAAN TERHADAP PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI PEGAWAI DENGAN MEDIASI PENINGKATAN KOMITMEN ORGANISASIONAL STUDI KASUS PADA PT ANGKASA PURA I (PERSERO)

The new paradigm of airport management in the world has encourage PT. Angkasa Pura I to change its vision and introduced new vision as “The World Class Airport Company”. Its new vision must be internalized to their employees (HR) as the core of airport services processes.

So far, empirical studies in HRM research didn’t have a model that could explain the effect of company's vision on attitude and behavior, including employee commitment and motivation to promote their better performance. This study purposes to examine the effect of the company's vision in enhancing the increased of the employee commitment and motivation on HRM practices in the public sector, especially in airport business. 

The unit analysis of this research focused on PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero) employee. The survey was conducted on 215 employees who represent clusters (groups) of Head Office and 13 Branch Office. The analysis technique used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and descriptive analysis to illustrate the effectiveness of the company's vision, the level of employee commitment and employees motivation. 

Results of SEM show that the research model for the effect of company vision to employee motivation mediating by committment is supported by empirical data. The specific results indicate that the vision statement has a significant positive influence on the level of employee commitment and employee motivation. The results also confirm previous premise that the influence of vision on the motivation is largely determined by employee commitment. Its show on the model that commitment has a positive effect on the level of employee motivation. But, however research model show that the directly effect of vision to motivation is stronger than indirect effect to commitment. 

The results of this study could be consider as a new model framework on the study about the linkage between the company's vision and (individual) employee behavior, particular the commitment and motivation of the employees to increase their performance. Based on the results, managerial implications needs a systematic internalization of the vision statement to increase employee commitment and motivation.
