This study aims to find out: 1) To find out the SWOT Analysis owned by the UPTD of Motorized Vehicle Testing in the Transportation Service of Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. 2) To find out the Internal and External Environmental Analysis at the UPTD testing motorized vehicles at the Transportation Office of Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. 3) To find out the Grand Strategy Analysis of EFAS and IFAS tables. 4) To find out the Grand Strategy Matrix or the position of the UPTD for motor vehicle testing at the Transportation Office of Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. 5) To find out about Motor Vehicle Testing service procedures in the Transportation Service of Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta.
The research method used is a qualitative method with descriptive design. The subject of this writing is employees who are in the UPTD for motor vehicle testing of the Transportation Service of the Special District of Kulon Progo in Yogyakarta, while the object of this writing is the Transportation Service of Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta.
The technique of collecting data uses the method of observation, interviews, documentation and literature. While the method of data analysis the author uses the SWOT Analysis method, where the author observes the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that exist in the UPTD of Motorized Vehicle Testing in Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region of Yoykarta.
The results of the study can be concluded that: 1) SWOT analysis, namely the strength possessed by the UPTD is that with complete equipment, a strong legal basis and human resources that are very fulfilling, the weakness experienced by the UPTD is that equipment has become ineffective, opportunities owned is creating a new job field, the threat that will be experienced by the UPTD is the position, health of the examiner. 2) Internal Analysis, namely UPTD testing of motorized vehicles is very comfortable, clean, disciplined, its employees are very friendly and also very tightly hold the kinship and kinship of fellow employees and leaders. The external Transportation Agency of the Kulon Progo Regency of the Special Region of Yogyakarta is very strategic because it is adjacent to the main road, Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Bank Negara Indonesia, Wates Regional Unit Hospital and other institutions 3) analysis of the EFAS and IFAS table strategies obtained by four alternatives namely SO strategy, strateggi ST, WO strategy and WT strategy. 4) Testing of motorized vehicles in the Transportation Agency is at quadrant I (SO), which means that the company is profitable The strategy that must be applied in this condition is to support aggressive growth policies (Growth oriented strategy).
